Live from rehearsals: 1,000,000

Trent Reznor is back, this time with some pretty awesome studio footage, looks like this US Tour is going to be pretty awesome, I guess I will have to wait for the Blu-Ray disc next year as I can’t see Trent bringing a 3rd live show downunder in the space of 3 years, would be awesome, but I don’t expect anything … Just some footage on Blu-Ray, that would suffice…

On other music news, I have just heard the new track from Slipknot, called All Hope Is Gone, which is a pretty heavy return for the 9 piece and sees the album co-produced by the band and Dave Fortman. I look forward to giving that one a go next month!

Word around the music blogs last week were that 9 tracks from the new Guns ‘n’ Roses album Chinese Democracy have been leaked online, the tracks are said to already be mastered … 14 years later, and we finally get to hear something, will let you know what I think.

It’s been that long (ten years) since I had caught up with Bob Matthews, but that was until last night. Bob had flown down to Sydney for a few days, so we managed to get together a few of the old crew and knock back a few cold ones. Beave, Erin, Andi, Bob and Kramer were all out in full force. Was good seeing some familiar faces again as well. I just hope Bob makes it back to Sydney before the end of the year, too many stories to tell.

It’s taken a little while for the US HBO hit series Flight Of The Conchords to make it’s way to Channel 10 here in Australia, but is finally here, CH10 Sunday @ 10pm! Make sure you tune in after Rove this weekend and check it out.

And its fucking awesome! I have been tracking it for a few days now, on it’s way from the US, to my door in Sydney! I’m still a little undecided on what to do with all the awesome content, the lithographs are stunning, the book, and the images that accompany the Blu-Ray disc are breathtaking.

At the moment though, it’s got pride of placement on my bookshelf, where it’s visible for all to see (but not to touch), I’ve played the Blu-Ray disc and it sounds amazing!

After a couple of listens, i am loving it!

GreenPix have just launched this super cool solar-powered LCD Billboard on the streets of Beijing ready for the Olympics, in just under 100 days.

Featuring the largest colour LED display worldwide and the first photovoltaic system integrated into a glass curtain wall in China, the building performs as a self-sufficient organic system, harvesting solar energy by day and using it to illuminate the screen after dark, mirroring a day’s climatic cycle.

Guess there is hope for Sydney’s Kings Cross Coke sign yet…

The long wait is over … I received my shipping notification from FedEx over the weekend, and at this precise moment in time, my Nine Inch Nails - Ultra-Limited Deluxe Box Set has just left Oakland, CA on its way to Sydney, AU.
